EXPERIENCES

Betsukai Town Sightseeing Boat

The Betsukai Sightseeing Boat offers a relaxing cruise around Notsuke Bay, where you can admire the peninsula’s unique landforms and diverse natural scenery from the water. Operating mainly from May to October, the 1.5-hour route includes a landing at the Notsuke Peninsula pier, allowing you to stroll around the Todowara area and see the haunting landscape of standing dead trees up close.

With a bit of luck, you might even spot seals while cruising — encounters with wildlife are part of the charm. Because weather and tides can affect the schedule, advance reservations and confirmation are recommended. It can feel windy and chilly on deck even in summer, so bringing a windproof jacket is a good idea.
